Daniel Brigham: Solving your New Year’s Eve problems

December 18th, 2009 by Daniel Brigham in Test cricket

Throwing a New Year’s Eve party and need something extra-special to wow your guests? If you can’t quite afford a cricketer to turn up, why not go for the next best thing and hire a look-a-like?

A quick trawl of agencies on the internet uncovered … not much really. Bizarrely there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of demand for a Tim Bresnan or Ryan Sidebottom impersonator.

Predictably, the only two I could find in my exhaustive five-minute search were both Andrew Flintoff, from the same agency. Now, I’m sure ‘A-list Lookalikes’ is a very reputable, successful business but they might want to consider trying a little harder when it comes to Flintoff. Maybe even watch a bit of cricket.

I’ll let you judge for yourself: Here and here.

Hmm. Perhaps just go for fancy dress at your party instead.
