“I think if you think so much, you simply cannot bat,” says Virender Sehwag. “You never know when you get out. Try to score as much possible before that.”

EXPERIENCE! Sachin has now played over 12,000 games of cricket, putting him third in the all-time list behind WG Grace and a Mr Rachel Heyhoe-Flint of Wolverhampton, who has played TWO games of cricket every day since 1927, but only because his wife made him.

We’ve provided a PDF that allows you to design every inch of your own bat, and the best one will win a bat with that very design!

The world of cricket was abuzz with frenzied speculation last night as it emerged that a top county player has taken out a so-called “super injunction” to prevent a publication from printing lurid details about his private life.
Player X is described in legal papers seen by TWC Online as “a seamer on the verge of breaking into the outskirts of the fringes of the England set-up, given a bit of luck with injuries”.

New kit. Everyone loves new kit.
Over the last few days, TWC has collected and reviewed the shiniest and newest cricket equipment on the market. We asked six readers to spend a day playing with bats and balls, trying out pads and gloves, wearing helmets and thigh pads.
