The Wisden Cricketer has joined forces with Notts Sport, the world’s leading supplier of artificial pitches, to give readers the chance to win a complete cricket pitch.
This prize – worth up to £8,000 – would provide your club with exactly the kind of artificial surface used at some of the world’s top cricket venues.
All you need to do is nominate a club or school which you feel is doing a good job in cultivating cricket in the local community and deserves a new pitch. The club could be working with local young players, introducing women to the sport, coaching disadvantaged groups or helping the community in any other way. Each nomination will be judged by an expert panel, including representatives from Notts Sport and
The Wisden Cricketer.
Notts Sport provides a choice of ECB-approved non-turf pitch systems for coaching, practice and matches, each tailored to suit the individual ground. The specialist surfaces need little preparation or resting, unlike natural turf, are resistant to wear and can reduce the cancellation of matches due to waterlogging.
For your chance to win, simply tell us in
no more than 250 words why your club or school is most deserving of a new pitch. Include important facts such as the special activities the ground hosts, how many people it benefits, how many juniors are involved and how often community cricket sessions take place. Feel free to include photographs but note that we are unable to return entries.
